G Therapy - A Holistic Way to treat Developmental Disabilities
WONDERS OF G THERAPY
G Therapy is a pioneering treatment for a variety of Neuro development disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, Mental Subnormality, etc. Invented by Dr. Gunwant Oswal, an integrated practitioner in Ayurvedic and Allopathy, the treatment involves intake of a special combination of Herbal extracts in potentised form and salts of body.
Today management of such patients mainly depends upon assistive technology - speech therapy, behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, symptomatic drug therapy for convulsions, involuntary movements etc. and surgery for corrective measures. So far there is no drug therapy available to improve motor functions and higher cortical functions of the brain. G Therapy has shown significant improvements in these conditions in about 70% of patients.
G THERAPY "THE REMEDY"
G Therapy is a unique combination of herbal extracts in potentised form and body salts. This formulation has shown beneficial effects on motor and higher cortical functions of the brain. The body salts bring about the necessary changes in neuro transmission while the herbal extracts act as a catalyst. Conceived by Dr. Gunvant Oswal, on the basic principles of pharmacology of Ayurveda and Sookshmacology, the formulation is in the form of sweet pills, has sublingual absorption, is safe and compatible with conventional therapies like Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, anti convulsant medicines etc.
G THERAPY SAFETY
G Therapy has been used by more than two thousand children for a period of few months to couple of years and has proved to be a very safe drug, with almost no adverse effects. Till date, only some children were noted to be dull, few mentally retarded children (Down Syndrome, Congenital microcephaly) became more hyperactive. One patient noted tremors of limbs which disappeared with continued treatment. There has been no life threatening adverse reactions. Two parents reported that by mistake their children with mental subnormality had consumed complete one month's medicine at a time, but no side effects were noticed.
A batch of G Therapy medicine was chemically analyzed in the UK in 1998 and found to be indistinguishable from sugars used in placebos. The sample did not contain any trace elements over and above those expected in water even after searching down to parts per billion
(1 in 1000 000 000).
DRUG ACTION
G Therapy - Possible Mode of Action
- G Therapy and Nerve Growth Factor:
In a preliminary study, few long standing spinal cord injury cases and peripheral neuropathy cases have shown unusual recovery with G Therapy. Possibly it is acting as a nerve growth factor.
- G Therapy and Neurotransmission:
Possibly the body salts of G Therapy reactivate the chemical changes for neurotransmission, while the herbal extracts act as catalyst to speed up the improvement.
